LTHS Pride Walk
The LTHS Pride Walk celebrates past and present honorees from the wonderful community that is Lyons Township. Patrons have supported the Pride Walk since it’s creation, by the LT Boosters, in approx. the year 2000. The original goal of establishing the walkway was to create a fundraiser for the building of a new concession stand at Bennett Field.
The concession stand is not only a place to get a hot dog and hot chocolate at the football game. Administering the business of the concession stand is a valuable opportunity for many of the students that take part in the respective classes, clubs and organizations that benefit from the experience. Students work, and learn, at every event.
The fundraiser was so successful, that Boosters have continued to expand and add to the walkway to this day. A smaller walkway was added at the North Campus Vaughn Building, on the east side near the pool entrance. Today, the proceeds that are raised through the Pride Walk project are used to help fund all of the club and organization activities, and to provide scholarship opportunities to our graduating LT seniors.
Indian Ridge Landscaping & Brick Paving will be providing the maintenance and installation of new bricks for both walkways. The company has been in business for over 25 years providing a wide variety of custom, personalized landscaping for residential and commercial clients. The owner is an LT alum, Dan Petrusha.
The LTHS Boosters Club shall provide financial support to enhance the academic, athletic and fine art programs and activities for the benefit of the students and faculty at Lyons Township High School.
How We Accomplish Our Mission
The LTHS Boosters Club raises most of its funds through these activities:
- Gold Card (August)
- Pancake Breakfast (Winter)
- Blue Card (November)
- Pack The Place BBQ (Winter)
- Restaurant Card (Spring)
- BoosterWear Sales (Throughout the Year)
All money raised goes directly back to the students and the community. We are always looking for volunteers to help with these fundraisers. This is a great way to meet other parents that see the benefits of a school’s extra-curricular activities in the well-being and development of students. If interested, CLICK HERE.
